Hi, I’m Crystal.

Born and raised in Hamilton, New Zealand, I moved to Brisbane, Australia to finish my schooling, where I have worked in Design and Marketing for the past 7 years.

In my current Graphic Designer role, I conceptualise the branding for a variety of events, from music concerts to community markets. I enjoy working collaboratively with the marketing team on promoting the event, and finally bring it to life through signage and styling. As a designer, I consider every stage of the customer experience - the functionality and interactive aspects are just as important as the visuals. 

I’m especially interested in the overlap between creative practices (such as art, cinema, photography, animation, gaming), as well as digital and analogue mediums. As our lives are increasingly spent in digital and online spaces, there has also been a renewed interest in the tangibility of the past. I’d like to be part of keeping these lost arts alive.

Beyond design, I enjoy exploring other creative hobbies including film photography, painting and calligraphy. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me on a photowalk, delicious foodie adventure, or curled up with my 2 cats for a movie marathon.
